The grapes for the Chianti Riserva DOCG come from up to 20 years old vines - located in the mountains of the municipality of Arrezo - and are read and selected by hand. After fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks, the ripening follows for 20 months in large oak barrels and another 6 months in the bottle.
