Montaribaldi - Langhe Rosso TRESTELLE DOC 2014

The first Langhe Tre site has produced Montaribaldi for its customers in USA. They wanted a wine with the color of the Dolcetto, the soft tannins of Barbera, the firm structure of Nebbiolo and the aromas of all three grapes.

What sounds like a joke or a stupid idea at the first moment is a real success story.

The three grapes are fermented separately, matured for 2 months on the yeast and then stored for another 2-3 months in large oak barrels.

After the assemblage the Tre Stelle matures for a few months before it is put on sale.

In the glass is the Langhe with a rich purple

In the nose intense mixture of fruit, spice and floral notes

On the palate a firm structure with soft tannins and a warm finish
