Terre Nere Campigli Vallone is still a fairly young winery that works by the late Pasquale Vallone and his wife Piera, as well as the children Francesca and Federico. It was only in 1997 that Pasquale began its 15 hectares of land in Castelnuovo dell'Abate in the Montalcino with the first 3 hectares of Sangiovese and extended them in 10 hectares (9ha Sangiovese, 1ha Cabernet Sauvignon). With the vintage 2002, the first Brunello was produced and immediately attracted the attention of the wine press. The black soil, from which the name of the estate was derived, as well as the nearby Orcia river ensure a complete and above all healthy maturation of the grapes. The wine cellar in Pian delle Querci is divided, one area for processing and fermentation, the second part for storage and ripening. The children Francesca and Federico are an integral part of Terre Nere and are actively involved in the winery.
