Voliero - Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2014

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the best wines in the world and Andrea Cortonesi is no longer a secret with his Uccelliera.

The individual layers are harvested in several passes and already decided in the vineyard which grapes are used for the Brunello or Rosso.

In order to obtain the maximum fruit in the wines, at Andrea the colors of the grapes are extracted in a cold maceration for 8 days on dry ice.

The aging takes place for 10-12 months in a mix of large barrels of Slovenian and French oak, before the wine matures for a further 6-8 months in the bottle.
