Voliero - Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2011

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the best wines in the world and Andrea Cortonesi is no longer a secret with his Uccelliera.

The individual layers are harvested in several passes and already decided in the vineyard which grapes are used for the Brunello or Rosso.

In order to obtain the maximum fruit in the wines, at Andrea the colors of the grapes are extracted in a cold maceration for 8 days on dry ice.

The aging takes place for 36 months in a mix of new, used French oak barrels and large barrels made of Slovenian oak, before the wine matures for another 24 months in the bottle.

In the glass, the Brunello presents itself with a medium garnet red

In the nose overripe black fruits with sweetish spicy tobacco notes

Firm tannins on the palate with velvety long finish and high presence
