With his Brunello di Montalcino 2012 Roberto Terzuoli of Sasso di Sole shows very impressively his interpretation of this exceptional year.
Completely in the old tradition of the Montalcino he renounces the use of barrique and instead uses the classic 35hl barrels from Slavonic oak.
The manual reading and strict selection of the berries is followed by a 25-day gentle and temperature-controlled fermentation.
The wine is aged for 36 months in 35l barrels of Slavonic oak with subsequent ripening in the bottle.
In the glass the Brunello 2012 shows a medium garnet red with first brown tones
In the nose ripe black fruit supported by carnation, leather and tobacco
On the palate with balanced body and firm tannin structure
Perfect for stewed dishes, game and mature hard cheese
Expansion: 36 months in large barrels
Decanting: 1.5-2.0h
Drinking temperature: 17-18 ° C
