The old property of the family Pancaro VILLA ELVIRA is the name given to this Sangiovese Rosato.

Tuscany has no tradition for Rose, so Rosato is often won during the production of red wines. During the maceration, a part of the grape juice is drained and processed to a favorable rose. The main goal is to intensify the color of the red wines.

For real rosato like the VILLA ELVIRA from Il Muro, the grapes are harvested 1-2 weeks before the complete maturity and thus this fruity and fresh acid is reached.

Federico Pancaro FEDE likes to compare this style with traditional Rosé from the Navarra - clearly intense color, crisp acidity and yet fruit-driven.

After a short contact with the skin, the grapes are pressed and fermented for a very long time at low temperatures in order to obtain the maximum aromas.

In the glass the Rosato shows a bright pink-red with tender salmon

In the nose aromas of ripe, red berries like strawberry and floral notes

On the palate lively, fruity, fresh, with medium acidity
