Treiso is one of the three main areas of the Barbaresco and is only 6 km east of Alba. With 90 hectares, the Azienda Vitivinicola Cantina Rizzi is one of the greats in Barbaresco and at the same time the proof that quality and size need not be a contradiction.

 

Today the family business of son Enrico and daughter Jole, founded by Ernesto Dellapiana in 1974, is managed. Enrico, with his education at the Turin and Alba Wine School, takes care of the vineyards and the wine cellar, while Jole takes care of the visitors and all business matters.

 

In addition to the grapes typical of Langhe, such as Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo, Chardonnay and Moscato are also cultivated. The wines produced, above all the Barbaresco, regularly occupy the front places of the evaluation during tastings.

 

The wines of Rizzi will be offered as an insider's tip, which, in view of the quantity produced, as well as the international awards, is a pure ignorance or joke.
