VILLA TRAVIGNOLI – Rufina Toskana

In northern Tuscany, a few kilometers east of Florence, in the area of the Chianti Rufina is the property of Azienda Travignoli by Giovanni Busi and his family.

On approximately 70 hectares of the total 90 hectares of land are cultivated mainly Sangiovese, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay.

The vaulted cellar was already built in the 15th century and used for wine-growing. Here Giovanni also has his barrels for the maturation of the 400,000 bottles produced annually.

Typical for the Chianti Rufina are the soils with the mixture of clay, marl and limestone, which in combination with the cooling winds allows the so popular fruity soft wines.
